STEP #6: Monetize Your Site Only AFTER you've established your brand as being trustworthy should you begin trying to monetize your website and social media properties. Doing so too soon can lead your visitors to think you are just trying to make a quick buck (they are more sophisticated than you think). By demonstrating that you have the best interests of your readers in mind, you establish goodwill. Combining that "goodwill" and a "soft sell", you can turn tremendous profits. Yes, I said "soft sell". The purpose of your site and your social media properties is to build a community - a group of like-minded people who follow you as an authority in your convertpix review. Doing a "hard sell" by hawking every product you encounter is just going to turn people off. Instead of "selling", use in-context affiliate links. Own a cooking site? Instead of saying how great the t-Fal cooking set on Amazon is and hard selling it, just mention that you own it in one of your content pieces and talk about how much easier it made your dinner preparation. Subtlety goes a long way. Learn to use it. If you plan to make use of banner ads on your website, use them in the sidebar. The same goes for AdSense. Reserve the content area of yourwebsite for exactly that - content. People don't want to fight through ads to read content so don't make them do so. Let’s look at a few different ways that you can monetize your brand.
AdSense
convertpix review is probably the easiest to implement. However, it's also quite possibly the least lucrative. That said, it's always worth a try, especially if you are in a niche with high AdSense EPCs. I suggest keeping the AdSense blocks in the sidebar but experimenting with a 300x250 block left-aligned in your content isn't a bad idea. In the days of relying on SEO, this would be a no-no (ads above the fold) but since we don't care about SEO or rankings, give it a try and see what happens.
Affiliate Offers When promoted properly (ie. "soft sell"), affiliate offers (digital and physical) and CPA offers can do very well. Just make sure you avoid the "hard sell" and that the offers match your brand, your niche, and your website content very closely.
Digital When promoting digital products (ie. ClickBank), make sure that the product is of high quality, even if that means buying the product yourself. Also, try linking directly to the checkout page if the product's landing page is iffy (you'll need vendor approval to do this). You are trying to build a community that trusts you. Promoting crappy ClickBank products isn’t going to help you establish trust so make sure stick with products that you KNOW are good.
Physical Amazon isn't the only game in town. As a matter of fact, it may not even be the best fit for your brand. For example, if you run a fishing site, you might be better off promoting a more fishing-centric vendor such as REO, Bass Pro Shops, etc. As I mentioned earlier in this document, make sure your offers match your brand and your content.
Selling Advertising Although
convertpix review  may be the most difficult to implement, selling advertising may be the most lucrative option. Now, I could get into an entire eBook to selling advertising but that's not within the scope of this guide. I just wanted to let you know that the option is there if you are feeling up to it.Your Own Products Aside from selling advertising, promoting your own products may be THE BEST way to monetize your brand. That said, it's also the most labor-intensive. Researching your subject and creating the product (usually digital) can take days or weeks or even months to complete. However, the payday can be wellworth it, especially if you turn your website into a giant hop-page for ClickBank affiliates (another topic for another day). Ultimately, most people reading this guide will be involved in the affiliate marketing model. When done right, that model can do very, very well.
Oh! Almost forgot! Make sure you add an opt-in form on your site!
Since you are building a brand, you are going to want to capture
emails!
Questions & Answers If you screw this part up, you’ll be left with a site that gets tons of traffic but makes no money. What’s the point of that? Make sure you answer the questions below before monetizing your website.
How do I want to monetize my business? There are several ways to monetize your business and website. Before monetizing, you should ask yourself which ways will work best with your niche and audience. Are you better served by promoting your own products? Is affiliate marketing a good option? Physical or Digital? Is AdSense the best way to monetize? Have a plan for monetizing BEFORE monetizing.
What products would my audience be interested in? If you opt to promote products (physical or digital), make sure you figure out what types of products your fan base would be interested in. There is nothing more frustrating than a website that gets tons of traffic but doesn't make any money because the products and offers simply do not match the audience.
What is the "soft sell"? People do not like being "sold to". They are much more receptive to what I call the "soft sell". Instead of telling people how great a product is and pushing down their throat (and coming off as a shill), make subtle suggestions. For example, if you run a baking site, don't actively "sell" the latest cooking
utensil. Instead, simply mention that you used it while making a certain recipe and that it made your job easier. Stop being a "huckster".
STEP #7: Continue Growing Your Business After you've established your brand, you'll want to continue growing it. My suggestion is to continue running the Facebook a campaign you setup. With a budget as low as a few dollars per day, you can consistently grow your audience. However, since your brand is legitimate (hopefully), you can begin approaching webmasters in your niche and request link swaps, guest posting, etc. If you are seen as a legitimate website or brand, which you will be if you've followed this guide correctly, other webmasters will be willing to discuss opportunities with you. Between your paid advertising, word of mouth, and discussing opportunities with other webmasters, you should be able to continue growing your brand quite nicely.
